Sustainability & Environmental Impact
Reduce Waste, Save Resources
Each year, thousands of school uniforms end up in landfills, contributing to textile waste that takes years to decompose. By choosing Rethread, you’re reducing waste.
Lower Your Carbon Footprint
When you opt for second-hand uniforms, you help lower the demand for new production, reducing the carbon emissions associated with manufacturing, shipping, and packaging.
Support Circular Economy
This simple act of recycling clothing reduces the environmental strain caused by fast fashion and promotes a culture of conscious consumption.
Help Families and the Planet
When you sell a uniform, you’re giving another child the chance to attend school in affordable, quality clothing—helping parents save while promoting sustainability.

Australia sends on average 2,000 tones of uniform to landfill each year.
Reusing uniforms helps conserve the resources needed to produce new garments—like water, energy, and raw materials.
